Title: Queen of the Sun.
Author: Michael EJ.
Topics: new age, spirituality, energy.
Year: 1995.
Rating: 7.5.
After The Celestial bar, The Prophet and The Celestine Prophecy, here is another novel of teaching, which unfolds in the form of narration, but it is in the reality a kind of spiritual and ideological manifesto.
Queen of the Sun was published in 1995 by Michael E.J. and obtained a great success worldwide.
It is, in my opinion, a text almost with a magical aura of mysticism but it has at the same time real sacredness that manages to evoke and maintain throughout its length.
As in The Celestine Prophecy, the journey of the main character begins by finding a particular artefact: in the book of James Redfield it was a manuscript containing nine lighting, while in Queen of the Sun is an ancient medallion.
Jason, the hero of the romance - a part is a personal experience and a part is literary invention of the author – owned a medallion and he is pursued by a powerful Masonic group willing to do everything to get the artefact.
Jason will travel so far to the Yucatán, in contact with the places once inhabited by the Maya.
The journey is not so much a physical, as a mental and spiritual process, which it can be done even if by the reader.
As always, there will be people ready to consider books such as The Prophet and The Celestine Prophecy as spiritual nonsense, but from my point of view I have found in these books, and in this same Queen of the Sun, many ideas and many teachings.
